How Facebook Can Fit Your Business Strategy

You might not think that Facebook should play a role in your business, but there are three things about this social media hub that may just change your mind.

  1. The sheer number of people on Facebook. More than 900 million users worldwide makes it the third biggest common community on Earth – only India and China have larger populations.
  2. The amount of time an average user spends on the site.  The average time spent on Google per day is less than 5 minutes. Frighteningly, the average Facebook user spends 15 minutes a day.
  3. The familiarity with the medium makes it easy for the user to interact with your brand using common tools.

The facts really speak for themselves and so if you’ve dismissed Facebook before, perhaps it’s time to reconsider and develop a strategy to take advantage of it.

Facebook can be a great way to connect with current and future customers in an informal way, especially if you sell to consumers but even if you sell to businesses. The relaxed atmosphere of Facebook allows you to form relationships with customers without them feeling the pressure to buy or commit to something. It is also an excellent way to reach a broader audience through Facebook Ads and sponsored posts.
